Established by the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting
in 1997, the CBC acts as a bridge for co-operation between
business and government, helping remove barriers to trade,
mobilising investment into Commonwealth countries, fostering
a good environment for business and investment, promoting
good practice in corporate governance and corporate citizenship,
and facilitating the engagement of the private sector
in information communication technology for development
(ICT4D) initiatives.

of Donor Agencies' Working Group on Small Enterprise Development

The Committee "promotes enterprise development,
particularly for small enterprises, in developing countries.
It provides a forum, in which member agencies can exchange
information about their programmes, and the lessons learned
through those programmes. Building on experience, the
Committee publishes common guidelines for member agencies."

USAID
Accelerated Microfinance Advancement Project

Under USAID's Accelerated Microenterprise Advancement
Project (AMAP), work is being done to develop and test
impact assessment methodologies appropriate for the new
generation of private sector development (PSD) projects
being promoted by USAID and other donors to improve competitiveness,
accelerate economic growth, and reduce poverty. The Microlinks
